Rock & Chips, the prequel to Only Fools and Horses, is the feature-length comedy-drama from the pen of John Sullivan, starring Nicholas Lyndhurst, Kellie Bright and James Buckley. It’s Peckham, 1960, and the Trotters are all under one roof: Grandad, Joan, husband Reg and the teenage Del Boy. Things suddenly change, however, when ex-con Freddie Robdal appears. Joining this story are the teenage versions of Boycie, Trigger and Denzil.

Apparently John Sullivan is writing a six part series of rock and chips so hopefully we’ll get to see such evets as the deaths of Freddie Robdal, Jelly Kelly, Joan Trotter and Albie Littlewood as well as Reg abandoning Del, Rodney and Grandad and what Joan really said on her deathbed, and June’s affair with Albie.

because the guy playing rodneys dad is rodney same actor if u look at the only fools and horses episoide “Sleepless in Peckham” u see a picture of nichloalas lyndshurt as freedy the frog hence y he playing it now
Just watching right now. Would it not have been better to select actors that actually bear some small resemblance to their future characters? Surely some agency somewhere has some actor more convincing as a Del, Boycie, grandad, Trigger etc.
The guy playing Rodney’s dad looks good tho.

I can’t wait to watch this. James Buckley should be good as Del Boy because knowing his acting from The Inbetweeners, he plays the same kind of character.
